Hello! My name is Alexis Weissman and I am the Fundraising Chair for Kappa Delta Pi this year.

I want to thank all of you who have donated and supported Kappa Delta Pi in hosting our second ever 5K and One Mile Fun Walk! Thanks to your generous donations, Kappa Delta Pi was able to host an amazing race to raise money for Donors Choose.

On Sunday, October 28th, Kappa Delta Pi members gathered in Schenley Park to welcome runners and walkers alike. Everyone enjoyed music, raffles, and refreshments at the Anderson Shelter and Pavilion. A special congratulations goes out to our top three finishers of the 5K race: JC B. with a time of 23:22, Dean D. with a time of 22:44, and our first-place finisher Ian P. with a time of 22:02! Our walkers then headed out for a nice stroll on the Bridle Trail. Although it was a little chilly, the 5K and One Mile Fun Walk was a success!

Ultimately, Kappa Delta Pi was able to raise $574 for Donors Choose! The money will be donated to local Pittsburgh public school classrooms in order to help supply much-needed materials, resources, and educational tools.

Our members worked very hard this semester to host a fantastic race, but we could not have done any of it without you!  

Hi Everyone!

My name is Nicole Perrotta and I am the chapter president of Kappa Delta Pi. I am excited to announce that as of earlier this week, we have reached our fundraising goal! Thank you so much to everyone who donated to our campaign. Your support is greatly appreciated and will be used to ensure that our 5k race and fun walk is the best that it can be.

As we are now less than 2 weeks away from our event, our chapter is hard at work preparing everything to be ready for the race on October 28th! Your support through this campaign is what will make it possible for us to be able to provide water, T-shirts, and other supportive resources to our runners and walkers next week!

My name is Michaela Mahoney, and I am the Secretary of the Pitt chapter of Kappa Delta Pi. I am so excited to announce that we are at the midpoint of our campaign. In only a few weeks, we have already raised $1,429 which is an astounding 64% of our total goal! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our project thus far, Our chapter is working hard to finish all of the details for our 5k, and your support means so much to us! Alexis, our fundraising chair, has been working tirelessly to coordinate and plan a successful event. Our chapter members will be getting together next week to make signs for our 5k to cheer on the runners, and we are all very excited for the event! We definitely want to have an amazing race on October 28th so that we can help better some of the classrooms in the Pittsburgh Public School District!

That being said, our campaign ends on October 23, which means there are only 2 weeks left to donate! Please continue to spread the word about our campaign so that we can put on the best race possible! All contributions are greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone!

My name is Savannah Null and I am the Social Media Coordinator for Pitt’s chapter of Kappa Delta Pi. First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who has generously contributed to our campaign so far! We have been live on this website for about one week and have already raised 44% of our goal… over $900! We are so grateful for the incredible amount of support.

With only three weeks until the campaign closes, (October 23) we still have a lot to go. Please continue to share this page and spread the message to your friends and communities. Any and all donations are much appreciated. We want to be able to put on the greatest event so that we can best benefit Donor’s Choose with our proceeds, and ultimately impact as many Pittsburgh Public School classrooms as possible.
