The Alpha Chapter of Lambda Sigma Honor Society at the University of Pittsburgh is a national sophomore honor society for men and women dedicated to the purpose of fostering leadership, scholarship, fellowship, and the spirit of service.
Charity Ball is Lambda Sigma's signature event, and has been held for 15 straight years! Each year, our 50 members vote to select a charity that will benefit from the proceeds of ticket sales to the event. This year, our members voted to choose a charity that would combine the focus of our national organization on at-risk youth and a current topic at our University, mental health awareness. We are happy to announce that this year's beneficiary of the Charity Ball will be the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Our goal is to raise enough through this campaign in order to fully fund the Charity Ball, which will ensure that 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales and donations during the night of the Ball will go to support the foundation. In order to hit this goal, we need your help!
There are many expenses that we must account for while planning the Charity Ball. They include:
Your donation will help us meet these expenses and ensure that we will be able to host a successful Charity Ball! Please consider donating at any level, including those that will help to provide decorations ($50), technology services ($100), food ($200), and music ($500).
Donations of every size are extremely appreciated and help us move towards our goal of fully funding the Charity Ball. Meeting our EngagePitt™ goal means that we will be able to donate 100% of the proceeds of the event's ticket sales to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
