We would like to send out a huge thank-you to everyone who so graciously donated to our EngagePitt Campaign!  With donations coming in from all over the country, we successfully surpassed our original goal of $4,500 and ended the campaign with a total of $7,814 raised!  All of these donations will be put towards taking both our A and B team to Nationals in Kansas City, MO this April.  We could not have had such a successful campaign without the help from all of our generous donors, friends, and family.  Thank you so much for all of your kind words and support!  The success of this campaign truly means the world to all of us on the Pitt Women’s Volleyball Club.  Thank you again for your ongoing support and, as always, Hail to Pitt!

This past weekend our A and B teams both attended the Volley for the Kids Tournament hosted by Slippery Rock University.  Congratulations to our A team who went undefeated throughout the entire tournament and took home first place overall! Our B team did incredible as well, coming in first place in their pool and making it to the quarterfinals of the Gold Bracket! We are so proud of both of our teams! Both teams had an amazing day of play and we are incredibly excited to continue getting better each and every week as we prepare for Nationals!

Thank you so much to all of our supporters and those who have donated—without your help we would not have been able to have such a successful campaign!  Our campaign is ending in just one day, on November 19th, and we have already raised $7,289.  We are ecstatic over how well this campaign has gone—we have greatly exceeded our original goal of $4,500!  All of these funds will be used to ensure that we can bring both of our teams to Nationals and our team could not be any more grateful.  Thank you from our whole team and keep following us on our journey to Nationals!  We will be playing next on December 7 at Penn State University.  All are welcome to come watch us play and meet all of the hardworking girls on our team that your generous donations are helping!  Thanks for all of the support and, as always, Hail to Pitt!

We would like to send a huge thank-you to all who have donated to our campaign thus far!  We still have one week left in our campaign and we have already exceeded our goal of $4,500!!!  Currently, we have raised $5,839 and we still have time left to raise even more!  Every dollar raised will go toward paying our way to Nationals.   We are SO excited and thrilled with how this campaign has gone so far and we could not do it without your help!

This weekend we had the incredible opportunity to help serve our community through Pitt Make a Difference Day (PMADD). PMADD allows students at the University of Pittsburgh to participate in a day of service in multiple neighborhoods throughout the Pittsburgh community in order to make a difference in the city that we live and learn in. Service is a key component of PWVC, as we all believe in giving back to those in need.

PWVC had the pleasure of volunteering at the Beltzhoover Community Garden for our PMADD experience. Our girls helped to clear plant beds to prepare for the next growing season, weed, and pick up trash in a lovely community garden. It was truly amazing to be able to meet and work with the community members of Beltzhoover that so graciously welcomed us into their community with open arms.

As we continue to fundraise for our trip to Nationals, it is important for us to be able to remember how fortunate we are to be able to be a part of such a wonderful student organization such as PWVC that allows us to compete nationally, build lifelong friendships, gain leadership skills, and give back to our community. PWVC is truly grateful for our opportunity to participate in PMADD!
