Chi HOMEga

"To be womanly always; to be discouraged never"

WHO WE ARE:

The Phi Beta Chapter of Chi Omega has been a diverse, empowered group of women since our founding at the University of Pittsburgh in December of 1919, committed to being Sisters on Purpose. We are devoted to our six founding purposes: Friendship, Personal Integrity, Service to Others, Academic Excellence and Intellectual Pursuits, Community and Campus Involvement, and Personal and Career Development. Whether it’s fundraising for Make-A-Wish, participating in Panhellenic or Interfraternity Council events, welcoming new members on Bid Day, or just hanging out in our home at Amos Hall with our sisters, Chi Omegas have contributed to the Fraternity & Sorority Life community for almost 100 years at Pitt! We welcome any Phi Beta alumna to our Centennial celebrations in the Fall of 2019!

MISSION STATEMENT

Sisters inspired by our values who serve the world while keeping Chi Omega ever at heart.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The 4th Floor of Amos Hall, known as the Chi Omega suite and affectionately as Chi Omegaland, has served as a place of comfort for Phi Betas since the 1960’s (when we only had half the floor!). Now more than ever, it is a vital component of our chapter constantly filled with laughs, sisters chatting in between classes, pre-initiation rituals and big/little reveal, and so much more. Countless memories are made here every year by each new group of sisters that are proud to call themselves Phi Betas. While Phi Betas come from a variety of different backgrounds, we are all united through our love for the Cathedral and the Panthers, our dedication to service, and our time spent in chapter housing.

In honor of our Centennial year, we would like to reinvigorate the spirit of our home on campus, but we need your help to achieve our goal. 100% of donations will go directly to the suite!

We aim to raise $2,500 over the next two months in order to pay for various housing costs, such as buying new furniture, kitchen appliances, and decor. Most importantly, your donation fosters a feeling of warmth and makes our home on campus a haven for our sisters.

We thank you for your support and extend to you an invitation to attend our Centennial celebrations on November 16, 2019 at the Twentieth Century Club. For more information, please email chiomega100@gmail.com.

WHERE DOES YOUR DONATION GO?

The total cost of renovating our suite is $10,000 (see graphic below for a budget breakdown). We are asking for your help to make our vision for our home on campus a reality and enable us to strengthen our sisterhood for future generations of Phi Betas. Without you, our alumnae, Chi Omega would not have as strong of a presence on campus as it exhibits today and without your support, none of this would be possible. We appreciate any contribution to our cause.

All donations that exceed the amount needed for the suite will be allocated to recognizing sisters for academic and personal achievements, sending sisters to more Greek Life events on campus, and growing our sisterhood!
