Round 3: Please support us in 2018!

April 02, 2018

Hi Friends and Family!

It has been a big year for Pitt Women’s Ultimate! We were lucky enough to attend the Stanford Invite this past March, as well as QCTU and i-85 Rodeo as our two other regular season tournaments. Unfortunately both QCTU and i-85 had game cancellations on Sundays, but we played hard and continue to work hard every day. Coming up we have the Series, which includes Conference Championships April 14-15 in Allentown, PA and Regionals April 28-29 in Steubenville, OH.

As always, we appreciate all of the love and support from all of you! We would like to thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for all of the donations in 2016. They went a long way in supporting Pitt Women’s Ultimate during our last two seasons.  See below for a photo from last year’s Nationals...a tournament that we were able to attend because of your support over the years!

We would also like to let you know that our 2018 EngagePitt fundraiser is now underway! Over the next 30 days we hope to raise money for this year's Series tournaments—which will hopefully include Nationals—as well as for next year’s fall season. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help offset the cost of tournament bid fees, travel expenses, and hotels. You can view our 2018 fundraising page at https://engage.pitt.edu/ultimate.  While you are there, we hope you will hit the GIVE NOW button to help us continue developing our program!

Every day we are grateful for all of the love and support we receive from friends, family, and fans. Without all of you, we would never have the opportunities that we do today.

Hail to Pitt Ultimate!

Love,

Pitt Women’s Ultimate

Round 2: We Need Your Help!

May 02, 2017

Hi Friends and Family!

It has been a huge year for Pitt Women’s Ultimate! In the fall we were lucky enough to add High Voltage, our Women’s B team, to the Pitt Ultimate family. In addition to that, Danger has made it to 2017 Nationals! This past weekend we won the Ohio Valley Region against the Ohio State University in the Final and will be going to Mason, Ohio over Memorial Day Weekend to compete against the top teams in the nation. Both teams have worked extremely hard this year both on and off of the field. But with two teams to provide for, fundraising has become even more critical to the success of our program.

As always, we appreciate all of the love and support from all of you! We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the donations last year. They went a long way in supporting both Danger and High Voltage this fall season.  See below for a photo from last years Nationals...a tournament that we were able to attend because of YOU

We would also like to let you know that our 2017 EngagePitt fundraiser is now underway! Over the next 20 days we hope to raise money for this year's Nationals as well as for next year’s fall season. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help offset the cost of tournament bid fees, travel expenses, and hotels for both Danger and High Voltage. Head on over to our new fundraising campaign page and check out our new video. While you are there, we hope you will hit the GIVE NOW button to help us continue developing our program!

Every day we are grateful for all of the love and support we receive from friends, family, and fans. Without all of you, we would never have the opportunities that we do today.

Hail to Pitt Ultimate!

Love,

Your Danger and High Voltage Ladies

THANK YOU!

Danger Family and Friends,

We cannot say thank you enough --- through the support of all of you we raised $6,827 (that's a straight up A)!!!! This season has been really exciting for us and we are so so grateful that all of you have been so supportive along the way.

Tomorrow marks the start of the Series, where we'll be driving down to West Virginia for Sectionals. Feel free to follow along on our Twitter (@dangerultimate) for some updates throughout the day!

Your donations and endless support means the world to us, and we hope to make you all proud out there on the field. Thank you so much for Rallying for Raleigh with us, we love you!

PS - Our awesome coach Greeno made this sick highlight film of the team. Here is a link if you want to check us out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufzRxBGF7oI&feature=youtu.be

We're (over) half way there, whoa, livin' on a prayer!

April 03, 2016

Dear Family and Friends,

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!!! Thanks to all of you, we have currently raised $3,726 over the past two weeks.

A lot has happened since we first launched our site --- last weekend we traveled all the way to Seattle for a tournament called North West Challenge. The three day tournament had us competing against many of the top teams from the country, and it was an amazing experience. Danger could not be more thankful to have had the opportunity to play at NWC, and we have so much to learn from that weekend.

Looking Ahead: Next week is our alumni weekend, (woot woot!) and we can't wait to spend a whole weekend with those who made Danger so great in the first place. The weekend after that we will be playing down in West Virginia at Sectionals, the first tournament of the Series. Following that we will have to get through the Week of Death (also known by professors as Finals Week) and then we have the big tournament, Regionals. This year Regionals will be held in West Chester, PA and we cannot be more excited for all of our Philly family and friends to join us for what will most definitely be an awesome weekend!

Thank you again to everyone who has supported us along the way, we would be no where without our family, friends and fans. Your donations have helped this team grow tremendously, and we hope that we have shown you just how much you have done for us by giving it all we've got out there on the field, every point of every game we play.

Love, Danger

Levels
Choose a giving level

$25

Backhand

The backhand is the throw you learn first. It may seem simple, but it is one of the most important throws a player can master. Your donation of $25 helps fill up two cars with gas on the way to our tournaments.

$50

Flick

The flick throw is usually the second throw a player learns. Once mastered, it allows players to throw trickier throws, and more successfully play against the defense. Your donation of $50 will cover the cost of a hotel room for one night.

$75

Scoober

A scoober is an upside down throw from across the chest. This is used by experienced throwers. It helps us throw through zone defense just like your donation helps pay for the registration fee for one player at Nationals.

$100

Hammer

The hammer is an inverted over-the-head-throw. It is a tricky throw, but also one of the most fulfilling feelings upon completion. Your donation of $100 partially pays for a bid fee for a tournament.

$250

Layout D

Though not a type of throw, a layout D is one of the most exciting and important defensive moves a player can make on the field. Your donation of $250 will cover the cost of gas for all of our cars for a tournament.

$500

Greatest

A greatest is THE ultimate play in a game - it is when a player is in the air and catches the disc out of bounds, but manages to throw the disc back in bounds before hitting the grass. Another player is then there in the end zone to catch the disc for the score. $500 will pay for the team to attend a tournament.
