In 2016, you took initiative to help Project Paw Print establish the Senior Legacy Student Resource Fund – a fund that would aid a rising sophomore, junior, or senior Pitt student in offsetting the cost of books, lab fees, travel, and other educational expenses. Project Paw Print has persisted in its efforts and is proud to provide opportunities to students that understand the value of philanthropy and want to positively impact their communities.
Without all of you, the creation of this fund would have never been possible, and your leadership started a Pitt tradition that will continue for years to come. It is not too late to support the next generation of students in 2018 – please consider making a gift to this year’s campaign so we can continue to help students achieve their academic and philanthropic pursuits! Thank you for paying it forward and making your mark on the University of Pittsburgh,
The Project Paw Print Team
Last year, we started Project Paw Print, an on-campus student led philanthropy group and asked you to support us to help us endow the Senior Legacy Student Resource Fund – A fund that would help a rising sophomore, junior, or senior Pitt student offset the cost of books, lab fees, travel, and other educational expenses.
We are elated to report that because of you and your generous support, Project Paw Print was able to endow the Senior Legacy Student Resource Fund and grant the first award to Anna Lackey, a sophomore at Pitt, at the Student Affairs Blue Stars Red Carpet Awards on April 23, 2017.
Anna, a clinical nutrition and dietetics major, earned the first SLRSF award through her tireless volunteer efforts with Jubilee Soup Kitchen and Girl Scouts of America, as well as her work as a fundraiser with the Pitt Telefund, and as an active member of the Kappa Delta sorority.
“Attending a university like Pitt that offers hundreds of opportunities for its students to get involved, broaden their horizons, and spread their passions to those around them inspires me every day,” said Anna. “Receiving the Senior Legacy Student Resource Fund Award is an amazing honor. I am so, so fortunate to have the support of the Pitt community as I continue my philanthropic and extracurricular endeavors.”
Anna will be using her $450 award to pay for a six-week service learning trip to Cochabamba, Bolivia this summer, where she will volunteer at a rehabilitation center for malnourished children. She promises to bring the positive energy, pride, and sense of community that Pitt has instilled in her to give back during her study abroad experience.
“I would like to thank each and every one of the Senior Legacy Resource Fund donors for their support. Your donation has made an incredible difference in my educational experience, personal development, and volunteer goals,” said Anna. “By being on the receiving end of such an amazing deed, I hope that one day I can provide another student with a similar opportunity.”
None of this would have been possible without you. Thank you, again, for your support!

We did it!
A few months ago we dreamed up the idea to create a student resource fund to financially support our fellow Panthers. We thought, “We have been afforded so much during our time at Pitt, there has to be a way that we can pay it forward to help other students.” Today, because of your overwhelming support, that dream is a reality and we will soon be able to help a Panther pay for books, lab fees, travel and other educational expenses.
You came together to help us make our mark and we could not be more thankful!
Warm regards,
Project Paw Print
Thank you! The support we have received from the Pitt community has been incredible! So many people have come together to help us make our mark and we could not be more grateful. With only a few days left, it’s not too late to share our page with your networks to help us go even further beyond our goal! Again, thank you for all of your support. We are very excited to be able to help future Pitt students make their mark at Pitt!

Our $5,116 goal to honor our graduation date is toast! We are so thankful that you have all come together to support both Project Paw Print and future Pitt students. With only 9 days left as students, we are extremely motivated and thus have raised our goal by an additional $2,016 to honor our class.
Please share our campaign on your social media pages and tell your friends and family about our mission to support our fellow Panthers. We have come so far with your support and it’s not too late for us to get even further!
Warm Regards,
Project Paw Print
Thank you! We have raised $5,244 with 11 days to spare! Your support means the world to us. We will certainly be able to help many of the little Panthers following in our paw prints. Thank you, again, for helping us make our mark at Pitt!

We never thought the support for Project Paw Print would be this great! Students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff have all come together in overwhelming numbers to help us make our mark. We are humbled by the incredible support we have received from the Pitt community and we are excited to announce that we are raising our goal one last time. With graduation quickly approaching on 5/1/16, we have decided to increase our goal to $5,116. Reaching this new goal would mean we could help even more students pay for their educational expenses. Because of your immense support, we will be able to graduate knowing that the Panthers following in our paw prints have another great resource. Again, thank you for supporting Project Paw Print.
Warm Regards,
Project Paw Print
The support for Project Paw Print has been overwhelming! Parents, students, faculty and friends have all come together to support us and we are so thankful. We have even been on campus rallying behind our mission to support our fellow panthers and within 12 days we have been able to reach our goal of $2,016. So, to impact even more students, we have decided to raise our goal to $3,530 because that is how many of us seniors will be dressed in caps, gowns, and cords at graduation! This new goal will enable us to help even more Pitt students pay for books, lab fees, travel, and any other educational expenses. Thank you for all of your support. Your generous gifts are helping us leave Pitt a better place!
Warm regards,
Project Paw Print
