The tremendous accomplishments of the University of Pittsburgh Rowing Club would not be possible without the support we receive from our family, friends, and alumni. We've made great strides, but we need your help to move even further!
We've had a rough year with our truck, which transports our boats to each regatta. Unfortunately, it has broken down a few times, once leaving our boats stranded on the side of the road on the way to the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. We have no other means of transporting our fleet. Needless to say, a truck is essential to our success.
Please consider making a gift to support Pitt Crew. Each rower's love for the sport and team is unmatched and our team would greatly appreciate any donation received to help toward the purchase of a new truck.
Pitt Crew is comprised of athletes with various backgrounds, from states ranging from Florida and Virginia to Ohio and New Hampshire. They previously competed in sports ranging from swimming and track to basketball and soccer. Majors range from Biology and Engineering to Sociology and Business. Under the leadership of their coaches, professors, and employers, these men and women are a hard working group.
At Pitt, they found their way to their true passion of ROWING. In the words of former Pitt rower Matt Huff,
"The hard work, the competitive environment, the successes, the failures, the friendships, and the progress make being a member of this team the experience of a lifetime."
