Women's Volleyball Club at Pitt

Our Team:

The Women’s Volleyball Club at Pitt is a competitive club sports team that travels across the country competing in tournaments against other schools. We are a group of undergraduate students with varying majors and education goals but come together with a love and passion for the sport of volleyball. Our organization focuses on not only being a competitive sports club but also focuses on improving intangible skills, such as communication, work ethic, and teamwork. The goal of our team is to meet new people and create lifelong friendships through the team while doing something we love. So far this year we have competed in tournaments at Kent State University, West Virginia University, and Slippery Rock University and will be traveling to American University and then to our National Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona this April! We have had great success this season, with winning our home tournament and look forward to the next few tournaments approaching!

Our Project:

As a fully student-run club, we rely on player dues and fundraisers like this one to cover our expenses such as tournament entry fees, jerseys, and travel accommodations like lodging and transportation. We want to bring our entire team to every event, but as those expenses increase, there is a greater need for financial support from outside sources. This year the NCVF National Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona is where the largest portion of our funds is going in order to send both teams who are so well-deserving of this opportunity. 

This year is very special to our team since there has not been a national tournament since 2019, a time where the current seniors on the team were only freshmen. We want to give every player who has put in so much time and effort to the team to be able to have the rewards of attending the tournament that is the highlight of the entire year. Any donation towards our club will ensure teams within the next seasons are able to have all the opportunities that they work towards! We are so greatly appreciative of any donation and all support that is given to us!

How You Can Help:

There are many ways to help our team reach our goal. One way is to donate! 100% of your donation goes directly to the Women’s Volleyball Club at Pitt. You can donate using one of the predetermined levels or choose your own amount. Donations of any size help tremendously and we really appreciate them. 

You can also show your support by spreading the word about our campaign with your family and friends on social media!
