Women's Volleyball Club at Pitt 2022-2023

Our Team

The Women's Volleyball Club at Pitt is a competitive club sports team that travels across the country competing in tournaments against various schools. Our club consists of undergraduate and graduate students with varying majors and education goals who share a love and passion for the sport of volleyball. Our organization focuses not only on being a competitive sports club but also on improving intangible skills such as communication, work ethic, and teamwork. The goal of our team is to meet new people and create lifelong friendships while playing a sport that we love. 

We recently competed in tournaments at Ohio State University, Penn State University, American University, West Virginia University, and our very own home tournament here at Pitt! In the near future, we will continue to travel to and host tournaments, finishing off with the National Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri! We have had great success this season, winning our home tournament and making great progress at our away tournaments. We continue to look forward to our future tournaments!

Our Project

As a fully student-run club, we rely on player dues and fundraisers, like EngagePitt, to cover our expenses such as tournament entry fees, jerseys, and travel accommodations like lodging and transportation. We want to bring our entire team to every event, but as those expenses increase, there is a greater need for financial support from outside sources. This year, the NCVF National Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri, is where the largest portion of our funds is going in order to send both teams who are so well-deserving of this opportunity. 

The National Tournament is very special to our team as it gives every player who has put in so much time and effort to the team the opportunity to reap the rewards of attending the tournament that is the end goal of each volleyball player. Any donation towards our club will ensure teams within the next seasons are able to have all of the opportunities that they work so hard towards! We are greatly appreciative of any donation and all support that is given to us!

How You Can Help

There are many ways to help our team reach our goal. One way is to donate! 100% of your donation goes directly to the Women's Volleyball Club at Pitt. You can donate using one of our predetermined levels or choose your own amount. Donations of any size help tremendously and we very much appreciate them. 

You can also show your support by spreading the word about our campaign to your friends and family on social media!

Finally, following along with us is a great way to support and help! We will be posting many updates about the National Tournament and every other tournament we attend. Find us on Instagram (@wvclubpitt) where we share the most up to date posts! Updates will also be posted on this EngagePitt website on the "Updates" page, showing you where the donations are going and how our team is doing throughout the season.
