Figure Skating Club at Pitt 2023

Who We Are

Figure Skating Club at Pitt is a competitive club sport at the University of Pittsburgh and an officially-registered intercollegiate figure skating team through the United States Figure Skating Association. We skate in the Southeast Division of the U.S. Intercollegiate Figure Skating. Our team consists of undergraduate and graduate students who all share one passion - figure skating. We are a group of singles skaters, who compete at the senior and junior levels, synchronized skaters, ice dancers, and many who are returning to the ice for the first time in months and/or years. Members of the Figure Skating Club at Pitt are dedicated athletes who balance practice each week with their college schedules and strive to achieve great success in both aspects of their lives.

This is our team’s fifth year as a competitive club sport within the university. We have already attended our first competition of the season at the University of Florida. We still have two more competitions left at Mercyhurst University and the University of Delaware. At these and previous competitions, we have been able to make a name for ourselves within intercollegiate competitions while taking home many awards and medals along the way in a variety of divisions. Our goal is to qualify for the National Intercollegiate Competition that is being held this year at UCLA. We are looking forward to continuing our practices and preparing to compete in our upcoming competitions!

Our Project

Collegiate skating provides us with the opportunity to continue our involvement in a sport that means so much to each and every one of us, but the expenses associated with these events can be challenging for our team and individual skaters. We are asking for your support to help us raise funds that will assist with covering the cost of practices, competition entry fees, travel/lodging expenses, and other miscellaneous fees associated with the team. Any gift made to the team can help our skaters reach their goals and showcase their amazing talents in our Southeast Division Competitions.
