NSNA Bound 2024

Our Project

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing strives to create the best nurses they can through rigorous coursework, numerous clinical hours, and many opportunities for students. The Pitt Nursing Student Association (NSA) has always facilitated unique experiences for students and has attended the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA) Convention for the past 10 years. The chance to attend a NSNA convention is the ultimate opportunity for professional development. At this event, students have the chance to network with recruiters for future employers on a one-on-one basis, attend numerous workshops showcasing all that nursing has to offer, and delve deeper into the nursing profession in general. It is the chance of a lifetime! Students who have traveled to this event have described it as one of the best experiences they have had in nursing school!

This year, the NSNA's 72nd convention will be held in Orlando, FL from April 3-7, 2024! At the last convention in April 2023, Pennsylvania had one of the largest representations for the house of delegates in the nation. We were able to vote on resolutions at a national level, including our state resolution. One of NSA's board members, Kayla Honeysett, was elected to serve as the vice president on the national board! Additionally, NSA's president, Azariah Torain, served as the Imprint editor to the national board last year. Pitt NSA is so proud of its members and their accomplishments!

We were able to send 12 students to the national convention last year and would love the opportunity to send more students this year. Student registration has risen to $75 this year and does not include travel expenses, lodging, or meals. Donors like you can help send students to this amazing experience!

This being our second year working with the EngagePitt program, we have set our goal to raise $3,000 to fund students to attend the NSNA convention. Any amount raised over our goal will support Pitt NSA's future convention endeavors. We appreciate any and all support you can provide! Even if you are unable to donate at this time, sharing our campaign page with your networks is an immediate way to show your support.
