Women's Club Ice Hockey EngagePitt Conclusion

February 07, 2024

Apologies for the very late conclusion to the Women's Club Ice Hockey at Pitt's EngagePitt fundraiser, but we are proud to announce that we have surpassed our intended goal of $5,000! This landmark could not have been reached without the support of all of our donors that contributed to the fundraiser, as well as friends and family sharing our fundraiser through social media. Just as hockey is a team sport that cannot be played without the players on the team and the coaches on the bench, this fundraiser could not be completed without all the help of our supporters. In that sense, all of the contributors and supports to this fundraiser are part of our organization as well, and it is with your help that Women's Club Ice Hockey at Pitt will continue to thrive!

Soon, at the end of February, our team will be playing in our conference playoffs to potentially win the chance of going to the ACHA D2 Nationals in St. Louis in March, and we hope for your continued support through this upcoming battle! Also, even though the EngagePitt fundraiser has officially ended, please know that you are still able to donate in support of Women's Club Ice Hockey at Pitt through the link located on our EngagePitt page.

Once again, we'd like to thank our donors, friends, and family for supporting us through this fundraiser, and we hope you continue to support us for the years to follow!

Jocelyn Lamoureux-Davidson scored the spectacular game-winning goal in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Jocelyn would later tell the media that deke was practiced over and over again and even had a name—she and her sister called it the “Oops, I Did It Again” after the Britney Spears song. This golden goal will cover 1/2 of a player’s ACHA dues for the year!
