Although this project has ended, if you would still like to make a donation to support the Environmental Studies & Geography Club at Pitt-Johnstown, you may always do so here.
Who We Are
We are the Environmental Studies & Geography Club at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown; we are passionate about learning about and protecting the Earth. Whether deep-rooted in fieldwork or creating maps, we chase opportunities to explore the world and what it offers. Our research builds upon our knowledge and understanding, focuses on environmental and geographical problems on local and global scales, and allows us to explore exciting topics related to our passions. We aspire to take every opportunity for further environmental and geographical education, involvement, and experience.
Our Project
Our Club is actively working towards participating in the Association of American Geographers (AAG) annual conference held this year in Honolulu. The club recognizes the AAG conference as a prime opportunity to immerse themselves in the latest research, innovative ideas, and networking opportunities within these disciplines. In addition to fundraising, the club is diligently preparing abstracts and research presentations that showcase its members' unique perspectives and contributions. This active involvement in the conference's academic program demonstrates the club's commitment to scholarly engagement and will highlight its dedication to making meaningful contributions to the field.
How You Can Help
As we eagerly prepare to present our independent research at the upcoming Annual AAG Conference, we kindly ask for donations. This invaluable opportunity promises to showcase our dedication and hard work in the geography field. However, to make this a reality, we need your support. Your generous donation will directly contribute to covering our travel expenses, allowing us to share our insights and contribute to the academic discourse. Your kindness will not only assist us in attending this conference but will also empower the next generation of scholars. Together, let's pave the way for impactful research and learning experiences. From the bottom of all our tree-hugging, geography-loving hearts, thank you!
Love, Pitt Johnstown Environmental Studies and Geography Club
