Pitt Women's Club Water Polo is a team of sixteen undergraduate and graduate students. We are a very close-knit team both in and out of the pool.
Over the past few years our team has become stronger and stronger. In 2015, we were voted Pitt's Club Sports Team of the Year, and last year we won our division for the first time and traveled to compete in the national tournament. This year we won our division for the second time, and are competing and hosting Nationals!
Our team is lead by our fearless coach Adrienne Fyock, whose expertise and enthusiasm for water polo has grown us into the team we are today. Along with our coach, we have an amazing support system in our families and fans, who come out to cheer for us at our games and help us fuel up for the fight with delicious snacks in-between games.
Every year our team pays about $2,700 to the Collegiate Water Polo Association for league dues. This covers costs of in-season tournaments, referees at games, and general administration that is necessary to run the league. We are hoping to offset the cost of these dues by asking you to donate and help us reach a $2,000 goal.
Any additional money we raise past the funds needed to pay our league dues will go to covering general expenses, such as competition entry fees and travel expenses. Due to the nature of our competition season, we travel to 4-5 tournaments each year. Expenses associated with traveling to our tournaments include:
