We're so excited that we've reached our campaign goal so quickly!  We can now buy all of the jerseys for the Pitt Rugby 15's team.  Since we have 45 days left, we'd like to increase our goal to $4000 to cover the costs of 12 jerseys for our sevens rugby team. Thank you again to everyone who has donated!

The Men's Rugby Club at the University of Pittsburgh is raising support to purchase a new rugby kit for the team as well as a new kit the Pitt Rugby 7's team. Our updated goal is to raise $4000 for a new set of 22 jerseys for the 15's team and a set of 12 jerseys for the 7's team, This covers the cost of printing, branding and shipping.

Men's Rugby Club

We’ve had a very successful campaign and it’s all thanks to you! We reached our initial goal of $2500 which allows us to buy 22 brand new 15’s jerseys for the team. Our extended goal of $4000 allows the team to buy a new set of 7’s jerseys as well. With 10 days left in the campaign, we are just $600 shy. We want to thank everyone for their support of the team, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Also, we wanted to showcase another awesome leader in our team, our newly elected president Aidan Nuttall.

Q: What superhero would you date?

A: Catwoman. It’s the closest I can get to Batman without actually dating him, too much baggage.

Q: What role do you play in the club?

A: I’m the President of the Club as well as tight-head prop.

Q: You’re mayor for the day, what are the three things you change in your city?

A: 1. Free drinks for everyone. 2. Free food for everyone. 3. Free education for everyone.

Q: How has rugby impacted your life?

A: Rugby has left a big mark on me. It’s given me a great group of friends over the past three years, and it’s satisfied my need to stay active. If it weren’t for rugby I would’ve gained fifty pounds by now.

Q: What do you want the club to accomplish this coming year outside of Rugby?

A: Off the field, I’m really looking to try and connect our current team with the teams of the past. We have such a solid group of alumni and we hardly have any interaction with them. It’d be great to make our games, practices or anything Pitt Rugby more accessible to them. 

As our campaign comes to a close, I am pleased to say that Pitt Rugby has achieved our $4,000 extended goal. The donations at the end of the campaign really gave us the final push we needed. It was an amazing way to close out our campaign; with a progress bar at 100% funded. We want to thank everyone who donated and spread the word - we really could not have accomplished this without your support!
