Our Project:

Student-athlete care and wellness is at the core of what we do. Pitt Athletics’ mission is to empower each of our 475 student-athletes to reach their full potential.

During the course of training and competition, injuries can occur. Through our valued partnership with UPMC, our student-athletes benefit from the care and attention from world-class practitioners. Our team of orthopedic specialists and athletic trainers are some of the most groundbreaking and well-respected in the world.

The Athletic Department is seeking your partnership to acquire a piece of equipment to help our student-athletes continue their fitness, while recovering from lower body injuries. The Alter G brand is widely recognized as the finest rehabilitation equipment in the country. Combined with the staff who provide exceptional care, this device will elevate Pitt Athletics’ ability to support student-athletes as they recover, and get back to competition for ACC and NCAA Championships.

By donating today, you put us closer to helping our student-athletes get back on the court, field, or mat – sooner. After making your gift, share to social media to spread awareness in helping us reach our goal of acquiring an Alter G.

Funds generated over the $85,000 goal will go towards the Pitt Athletics Performance Team Excellence Fund, which supports our most critical services - strength, conditioning and athletic training areas.
