This week’s Uniform Fun Fact features freshman OF Aaron Watson.
Watson, a California native, is not used to the cold. He was fortunate enough to survive the late October games of our fall season, when temperatures dropped to a dangerously mild 58 degrees. When he wasn’t doing jumping jacks to stay warm in center field, you could find him bundled up in a parka in the corner of the dugout. The problem remains however, that without taking serious precautions, the brutally cold temperatures of Pittsburgh in the early months of our spring season will put him in great danger.
In order to keep him warm, we’ll need to order him a custom uniform (see proof below), complete with the latest thermal technology. This will end up being quite costly, so it is now more important than ever that we keep raising money! Any amount donation is appreciated. Please also use the hashtag #KeepWatsonWarm to spread the word.
P.S. Watson is staying positive during these colder months. You should have seen how excited he was to see snow for the first time. So cute. #KeepWatsonWarm
