Who We Are:

The University of Pittsburgh Undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program was established in 1978 and is a leader in the preparation of students studying to be healthcare providers for athletes and physically active individuals. Like Pitt Athletic Training on Facebook for updates! 

About Our Project:

Clinical education is a major component which requires the students to rotate through on-campus and off-campus clinical sites. While at the clinical sites, each AT student needs to be prepared for medical emergencies, injury evaluations and other clinical activities. We would like to provide medical kits stocked with the necessary tools for both the clinical rotations and classroom laboratory sessions. The Panther Packs would not only provide students with the tools for success, but also give them a sense of preparation, pride and professionalism each day.

Our Funding Goal:

The athletic training students, in addition to tuition costs, are burdened with additional fees above the typical undergraduate student. These added expenses include fees for mandatory background checks, yearly physical examinations, laboratory fees and transportation costs to/from off-campus clinical sites. We would like to provide our students with these packs so that they have the tools they need to succeed without increasing their financial obligations.

All funds raised through this campaign will be used to purchase fanny packs and supplies for the athletic training students, starting the fall of 2016.

Our goal for this project is to raise $6,400 for 50 Panther Packs.

• $15: Your support at this level brings us closer to supplying all of the AT students with Panther Packs!
• $25: Provides the treatment tools for one Panther Pack
• $50: Provides the evaluation tools for one Panther Pack
• $75: Provides both the treatment and evaluation tools for one Panther Pack
• $130: Provides one AT student with a fully stocked Panther Pack!
• $260: Provides a fully stocked Panther Pack for two AT students!

Everyone who donates will be recognized at the Pitt Athletic Training and Sports Medicine Alumni gathering In June 2016 at the NATA Symposium in Baltimore.
