The University of Pittsburgh’s Club Gymnastics Team is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs (NAIGC). This club provides individuals of all ages and skills with the opportunity to continue gymnastics at a collegiate level.
The NAIGC encourages and offers support, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and most of all fun. What sets the Pitt Club Gymnastics Team apart, is that every member involved does it for the “love of the sport.”
During the year, the Pitt Club Gymnastics Team travels to different states to compete in multiple other collegiate club gymnastics meets. Once our regular season ends, we are fortunate enough to be able to compete in the national competition against thousands of other club teams. This past year, Nationals was held in Daytona, Florida. Our team did an outstanding job and came close to qualifying for the team finals. In addition, one of our gymnasts earned the opportunity to compete vault in the individual event finals. With each year, our team continues to grow both in number and strength. We are so excited for this upcoming season and can’t wait to see where it will take us!
How You Can Help:
Since we are a club sport, we do not receive funding from the University, and it is up to us to raise the money we need. Throughout the year, we raise money through bake sales, restaurant fundraisers, candy bar sales, apparel sales, and Flips for Tips – our own personalized method of canning. Without fundraising, we would not be able to maintain the club we all love so much. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the University of Pittsburgh’s Club Gymnastics Team to help us get to the 2020 Nationals Competition in Providence, Rhode Island.
We are appreciative of any support you’re willing to give. Our team is thankful to be able to participate in the sport we love most and hopes that you’ll give thought to donating.
Please help us reach our goal of raising $4,000!
