We were able to send five students and our advisor to the National conference in Los Angeles, CA. The generous donations covered conference registration, airfare, and lodging. Throughout the conference, we were able to participate in many round table conversations on various topics such as networking, navigating corporate America as well as other aspects of professional development. Among the students that participated four are set to graduate in the spring. This opportunity allowed for the students to network and the advisor to bring more national information back locally to Pitt.

One of our students, Anette Nance MSWc, was a top ten finalist for Student Veteran of the Year. This opportunity allowed her to be with her peers and represent Pitt on a national level. She expressed how thankful she was for the sponsorship. The work she has done on campus was recognized by the Student Veteran of America staff and the staff here at Pitt.

We look forward to passing on the information we learned to the veterans at Pitt. Thank you again, for the lasting affect this opportunity will have on our lives.
