Pitt Figure Skating is a competitive club sport at the University of Pittsburgh and an officially registered intercollegiate figure skating team through the United States Figure Skating Association. Our team consists of undergraduate and graduate students who all share one passion- figure skating. We are comprised of singles skaters who compete at the senior and junior levels, synchronized skaters, ice dancers, and many who are returning to the ice for the first time in months and/or years. Members of Pitt Figure Skating are dedicated athletes who balance practice each week with their college schedules and strive to achieve great success in both aspects of their lives.
This is our team’s third year as a competitive club sport within the University. Last year, we travelled to Liberty University and University of Delaware. At these competitions while we were able to make a name for ourselves within intercollegiate competitions, taking home many awards and medals along the way from a variety of divisions. If COVID-19 restrictions allow, we are looking forward to continuing practices with hopes of competing during the competitive season this spring.
As we all know, COVID-19 has affected the entire world drastically. We are continuously working with the University of Pittsburgh and surrounding rinks to practice safely in order to successfully compete this season! If all goes well, we plan to attend two intercollegiate skating competitions at Liberty University and Penn State, and Intercollegiate Finals at Adrian College. If COVID-19 does not allow us to travel to in-person competitions, we plan on competing virtually through virtual team maneuvers. This will allow us to still enjoy competitions while staying safe in Pittsburgh.
Collegiate skating provides us with the opportunity to continue our involvement in a sport that means so much to each and every one of us, but the expenses associated with these events can be challenging for our team and individual skaters. We are asking for your support to help us raise funds that will assist us in covering the cost of practice, competition entry fees, travel/lodging expenses, and other miscellaneous fees associated with the team. Any gift made to the team will help our skaters reach their goals.
A gift of any size can make a huge difference for our team. Sharing our campaign page with your friends and family, and spreading the word on social media also makes a meaningful impact. We are grateful for your support of Pitt Figure Skating!

A donation of $20 will help one of our team members fill up their tank to drive our skaters to the off-campus rink each week! Thank you for helping us get to practice!
This will cover the cost of ice time for three members’ practice sessions each week. Thank you for helping get our skaters on the ice each week for training!
This will cover one entry fee for a member to compete at an intercollegiate competition this year representing the University of Pittsburgh! Thank you for helping our skaters showcase how hard they have worked this year!
$100 will help us cover the cost of lodging while we are away at a competition this year. Thank you for helping us reach our competitive goals while at competition!
A donation of $250 will significantly contribute to the costs associated with competition entry expenses for many of our team members. We greatly appreciate your generous support!
