Pitt Club Baseball (PCB) is a student-run organization competing in Division I of the National Club Baseball Association. In both the fall and spring each year, we compete against teams from around the North Atlantic region, as well teams from all over the country. Each season, we aspire to secure a North Atlantic Region Tournament berth on our way to a World Series run. Our club was North Atlantic Western Conference Champions from 2013-2017 and earned World Series appearances in 2012 & 2016.
After not being able to play during the 2020-2021 season, the team was more than ready to compete this past fall. After fall play, we enter 2022 with a 4-2 record and look to solidify our place at the top of the standings this spring!
As a student-run club team, we strive to resemble a varsity program in many aspects. However, there is one major difference: the club gets a limited amount of monetary support from the university. Our long list of expenses includes equipment, field rentals, umpires, transportation, and lodging costs when we travel to compete against other schools. We rely on player dues and fundraisers to cover our costs, but as our club continues to grow and become increasingly successful, expenses increase and there is a greater need for financial support from outside sources.
