Women's Volleyball Club at Pitt 2023-2024

Our Team

Women's Volleyball Club at Pitt is a competitive club sports team that travels across the country competing in tournaments against various schools. Our club consists of undergraduate and graduate students with varying majors and educational goals but a shared love and passion for the sport of volleyball. Our organization focuses on not only being a competitive sports club, but on improving intangible skills such as communication, work ethic, and teamwork as well. The goal of our team is to meet new people and create lifelong friendships while playing the sport that we love. 

Recently, we competed in tournaments at the University of Maryland, Penn State University, West Virginia University, as well as our very own home tournament here at Pitt! In the near future, we will continue to travel to and host tournaments, finishing off with the National Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri! We have been very successful this season, winning our home tournament and making great progress at our away tournaments, and we look forward to future games! 

Our Project

As a fully student-run club, we rely on player dues and fundraisers, like EngagePitt, to cover our expenses such as tournament entry fees, jerseys, and travel accommodations like lodging and transportation. We want to bring our entire team to every event, but as those expenses increase, there is a greater need for financial support from outside sources. This year at the NCVF National Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri is where the largest portion of our funds is going in order to send both teams who are so well-deserving of this opportunity.

The National Tournament is very special to us as it gives every player, who has put so much time and effort into the team, the opportunity to reap the benefits and rewards of attending this tournament that is ultimately the end goal of each player. Any donation towards our club will ensure future teams are also able to have all the opportunities that they work so hard for! We greatly appreciate any donation and all support that is given to us!

There are many ways to help our team reach our goal. One way is to donate! 100% of your donation goes directly to the Women's Volleyball Club at Pitt. You can donate using one of the predetermined levels along the right side of this page, or choose your own amount via the "Give Now" button at the top of the page. Donations of any size help tremendously and we very much appreciate them. 

You can also show your support by spreading the word about our campaign to your friends and family! 

Finally, following along with us is a great way to support and help our cause! We will be posting many updates about the National Tournament and every other tournament we attend. Find us on Instagram (@wvclubpitt) where we share the most up to date posts! Updates will also be posted on this website under the "Updates" tab, showing you where the donations are going and how our team is doing throughout the season.
