Last spring, the Class of 2016 was able to put on a wonderful performance and send themselves off to intern year with a fantastic show, while paying tribute to Dr. Starzl, for hundreds of friends and family to enjoy. It is with every penny that all of YOU contributed to our 2016 EngagePitt campaign that they were able to even put this show together- from props and costume to stage and playbills. Below are some pictures of their 62nd annual Scope and Scalpel performance!
But Pitt Med is not finished yet! The Class of 2017 has stepped up to the challenge and this year’s Scope and Scalpel production is in full planning mode. Your support is still so important to help us continue carrying this treasured tradition into its 63rd year! Stay tuned for our new EngagePitt campaign launching soon on January 30th!

THANK YOU for participating in our campapaign! While we did not entirely reach our goal, we still raised a nice sum of money and our budget monkeys are very pleased with our efforts. The script is in its final edits, audtions have been held, and all of the not as much fun but very necessary buisinessy stuff is being handled. We would not be where we are without you.
Our theme reveal takes place in eight days, on Match Day, March 18th; we will then post our real final update with the trailer for the show.

Hello all. First, a big, BIG thank you to everyone who has contributed to the campaign so far. Any and all gifts will go a long way to the success of this year's production.
At this point we've hit the two week countdown for our campaign and still have a long way to go before we reach goal. In order to try to boost giving we are instituting Mentor Week. We've all been touched by someone in our lives who has influenced our decision to go into medicine or our given specialty or practice. This week we're asking people to give a gift in honor of that person/those people. It's a great way to publicly say "thank you" for all they've done in your life, while simultaneously paying it forward to future physicians.
Thanks for all your support so far. Please remind family, friends, and colleagues to give as well so that we can make our goal and have a great show! And stay tuned for our next promo video. It's currently in production and will be released next week during Mr. Pitt Med.
Thanks everyone! We are now 35% to goal!! We still have a long way to go, with little time, but as a thank you for getting us to this point, we are sharing another promo video!! When you watch you will see how hilarious we are and then you will want to help us get more money to make the show awesome! (Well, that's the working theory anyway.)

In only three days we have manage to raise 5% of our goal!! Thank you so much to those who have given, and thank you to everyone who is planning on giving but just has not gotten around to it yet :) To show our appreciation, we are releasing our very first promo for the show to give you a taste of what hilarity is to come. Watch, laugh, share, and be on the lookout for more!

To those of you who've come before and now are on the other side, but not so far removed that you forget about the wonderful days of your medical school education. For just $50 you can purchase some hearing aids for Dr Ferson (or at least the lab coat, glasses, balding wig, and microphone for the student who will be playing him).
Good bye debt, hello check! You're at a great point in life where you can afford things like a nice dinner out, a vacation in Prague, or maybe even a dose of nostalgia. $100 will help us buy the supplies to recreate the ward where you trained oh-so-long-ago.
From cower to power! You're large and in charge. But what will you do with your influence? You could torture poor medical students. Or you could choose a more productive and altruistic outlet. $250 will allow us to rent the speakers for one show so that everyone can hear us loud and clear.
Budgeting and expenses has now become a part of your job, so you know first hand how difficult it can be to adequately supply your team with the equipment they need. But $500 can buy....CHAIRS! And tables, and buckets, and surgical caps, and....basically all the props we'll need in the show.
