Home Stretch!

November 15, 2019

Hi everyone!

Just two days left in our EngagePitt Campaign!! You can donate to our funds to travel to the National Outdoor Collegiate Championships until Sunday, November 17th at 11:59 PM!

Why do we care about our archery club? Here’s what our president Julia has to say:

“Coming to university and registering the club as a freshman truly shaped my time at Pitt. I arrived at college after being involved for years with my JOAD club, the USA Archery Junior Dream Team, and competing at USAT tournaments so I really appreciated the archery community at all levels from local clubs to the national level. In my high school years I got to know the archers from the Princeton Archery club at my home range in New Jersey. Seeing the sense of community and fun, paired with some truly skilled archers, made starting my own USA Archery collegiate club seem more appealing and feasible. At first I just wanted to find a way to continue archery, but we have really formed a wonderfully eclectic bunch of students that have become some of my best friends. I enjoy teaching students archery, and watching my teammates grow from beginners to advanced competitive archers over the years has been so rewarding!! I couldn’t be prouder of this club, all we have achieved with members that have made the All-American teams already, and the community we are building. I would love to be able to bring everyone to Chula Vista because it will be a bittersweet end to my undergraduate archery years, back at the training center I shot at while I was on JDT.”

You can help us by donating or sharing our page, engage.pitt.edu/archery! Any amount or share, no matter how small, helps makes our goals a reality. Thank you so much for your continued support!

6 Days to Go!

November 11, 2019

Hi all,

There are just 6 DAYS LEFT to donate to our EngagePitt campaign! Thank you so much for your support over the past month, it means the world to us.

Each day for the end of the campaign, we will be featuring more of our teammates—why they love the sport, what Pitt Archery means to them, and what they want to do in life! You can see these updates on facebook.com/pittarchery or Instagram.com/pittarchery.

Last week, we hosted our first adaptive archery day of the 2019-20 year. Your donations go toward helping our team reach the National Outdoor Collegiate Championships, but in turn also support the growth of our club. In addition to competing, we have a mission of promoting para archery in the collegiate world and accessible club sports within our university, with invaluable resources and guidance from our Coach Eric Burkett from the U.S. Para Archery Team.

You can help us even more by sharing our campaign with friends at engage.pitt.edu/archery! Every donation, no matter how small, counts towards helping us get to California this May, and we would love to bring our students to compete at the Olympic Training Site in Chula Vista, CA.

Hail to Pitt!
