Through the generous support of those who gave to this initiative, Pitt Athletics was able to purchase the Alter G machine in early December. Thanks to those who joined this campaign, Pitt’s 475 student-athletes will have the ability to rehab from injury faster. The acquisition of a machine like the Alter G, teamed with our elite sports medicine staff, creates an environment of top-tier care for Pitt student-athletes.

It is with gratitude we announce our first ever crowdfunding venture has been funded! Thanks to 133 generous donors, we have raised $86,874 to purchase and install an Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill! 

The Alter G brand is widely recognized as the finest rehabilitation equipment in the country. It is most often used in rehabilitation work from lower body injuries or to ward off lower body injuries like shin splints.

Combined with the staff who provide exceptional care, this device will elevate Pitt Athletics’ ability to support student-athletes as they recover, and get back to competition for ACC and NCAA Championships. Our 475 student-athletes deserve the very best. With the help of our generous donors we can now get our student-athletes back on the court, field, and mat - sooner! Thank you and – Hail to Pitt!
